2 injured in suspected gang-related shooting

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake Gang Task Force is investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital Sunday.

Investigators said the shooting happened early Sunday morning during a party at 343 S. 1000 West. A suspect shot more than 20 rounds into a house, hitting the two victims.

One man was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. The other man was not critically injured.

Several car windshields and other pieces of private property were damaged.

Investigators had not made an arrest as of 9 p.m. Sunday, but they said they know the alleged shooter lives in the area.
