PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Three American Fork High football players will have to skip a state semifinals game this week after being suspended for brawling with players from another team during a game last week.
An on-field fight broke out during the state quarterfinals championship game between American Fork and Hunter high schools. The fourth-quarter fight cleared the benches of both teams and lasted about 10 minutes.
Utah's High School Activities Association suspended two seniors and one junior player from American Fork. Two Hunter team members were also suspended from school for their role in the fight.
American Fork police have also been looking at videotapes of the game. Chief Lance Calls says he expects several people to face charges.
