SALT LAKE CITY — Attorney general candidate John Swallow has outspent his primary election opponent Sean Reyes by nearly $200,000, new campaign financial disclosure reports show.

Between them, the two Republicans have raised almost $1.1 million.

Swallow has spent $586,280 on his campaign, while Reyes has spent $396,830, according to reports filed Tuesday at the state elections office. Swallow has $92,827 on hand; Reyes $11,812.

Swallow's spending includes $205,000 on radio and television advertising. Reyes has not run TV ads but spent $20,600 on radio ads. SuperPACs have paid for attack ads against both candidates.

Since the state GOP convention in April, Swallow has raised $225,615 to Reyes' $77,114.

The winner of next Tuesday's primary election faces Democratic Weber County Attorney Dee Smith. Smith's report shows he has raised $24,776 and has $6,893 on hand.
