EPHRAIM -- Snow College has officially added orange to its signature blue and white school color combination.

The decision, voted on Friday, is part of Snow College's rebranding campaign to differentiate the college from other institutions in the state marked with white and blue. The school proposed completely removing blue from their color scheme and logo at first, which was met with disappointment from alumni and community members.

"We are happy with the Trustees' decision," said Snow College President Scott Wyatt. "I think they considered everyone's feedback and implemented that feedback. We know we can accomplish the goal of the committee for uniqueness and honor the tradition of the College. "

Considerations for the logo were released, including an orange and blue badger, the school's mascot, similar to the current design of the athletic logo. The proposed "S" logo also incorporates orange into the new design. Both were used to aid the Trustees in their decision and have yet to be decided upon and refined.

"I'm proud to be a part of Snow College today," said Snow College head football coach Tyler Hughes. "We've blended our rich tradition with an innovative approach. I can't wait to see our team represent the College in blue and orange."
