MILLCREEK — Police are searching for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven at knifepoint early Monday morning.
The robber walked into the store located at 2287 E. 3300 South around 2:15 a.m. Unified police say one clerk was behind the counter at the time. The robber pulled out a knife and began threatening her, then demanded that she give him money from the register.
Lt. John Barker of the Unified Police Department said, "It's their policy that they're not going to argue with anybody."
Once the man had the money, he ran east from the store. Police tried to follow his trail but did not find him. Investigators are looking to the store's security cameras, which recorded the robbery, for leads.
"We'll get the video and have our detectives look at it and see if we can't recognize him," Barker said.
The robber is described as a Polynesian or Indian male in his late 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a knit hat with ear flaps, black gloves and dark jeans.
The clerk was not physically injured during the robbery.
