(KSL News) -- Senator Orrin Hatch made a special appearance for the Army's National Prayer Breakfast today in Salt Lake.
The prayer breakfast was started by members of Congress in 1953. It is held each year so military personnel and others can draw closer to one another and seek for guidance.
Today's breakfast was held at the Union Pacific Building.
After Hatch spoke to the crowd, Chaplain Alvin Moore led the group in prayer.
