SALT LAKE CITY -- This could be your chance to prove to your mom that after-school band practices weren't just noise.
KSL is looking for a house band to perform live Super Bowl night during news broadcasts. The "Utah's Best Garage Band" contest begins Sunday night, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. and voting will be open until Feb. 2.
Hopeful bands must upload a video of a song on YouTube and submit the video through the app on the KSL TV Facebook page. A panel of Classic Rock experts will judge the three bands with the most votes and pick a winner. Votes for participating bands may be cast on the KSL TV Facebook page as well.
The winning band will perform live in Salt Lake City during the 9 p.m. special show after Super Bowl 46 and "The Voice" premiere on NBC. The band will also be the house band during Sportsbeat Sunday.
Must be able to travel to Salt Lake to perform.
