(KSL News) A car accident shut down sections of Interstate 215 near 3600 South Monday night.
Witnesses say a white car was speeding on the freeway when it bounced off a barrier and flipped. It then rear ended another car.
The driver of white car had to be extracted from his vehicle. He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Troopers say he was likely driving drowsy or had a medical problem.
The people in the other car were not hurt.
