(KSL News) -- Despite the red hot job market, many Utah families can't afford housing.
The state's largest shelter, the Road Home, served more than 100 families this winter. That's up 62-percent from last year.
Low-income advocates blame the increase on poverty and a shortage of affordable housing.
Meanwhile, the government is shrinking programs to help families get housing.
