(KSL News) Five Duchesne County Sheriff's deputies involved in the death of an Oregon man are cleared of any wrongdoing and can return to duty.
Convicted felon Tony Francis led police on a high speed chase in a stolen truck, last week. The chase ended when Francis spun out of control on an icy road in Indian Canyon.
Francis jumped out of the truck, firing a gun. A deputy took cover behind his patrol truck. Then Francis climbed into that vehicle and started driving toward the line of officers. They fired on the patrol truck, killing Francis.
Investigators determined the officers acted in accordance with state law.
