PROVO -- Provo city leaders appear to be willing to consider lifting a decades-old ban on Sunday beer sales.
According to the Daily Herald, a local business owner recently complained to Provo Councilman Rick Healey of lost sales on Sunday.
Healy wants to revisit the issue.
"To have a shelf shut down in the store doesn't make sense," he told the Herald. "For some people Sundays are the day they shop."
He suggested people are driving out of town to do their shopping on Sunday. Lost business means lost tax revenue for the city.
The city council voted to discuss the issue Sept. 20.
