WEST VALLEY CITY — Three people were arrested in a prostitution sting in West Valley City Monday.
Undercover officers responded to an ad on the Internet and met up with suspected prostitutes, said West Valley Police Sgt. Mike Powell.
Jamal Barefield, 27, was arrested for investigation of felony "houses of prostitution," while two women were arrested for investigation of prostitution.
Powell said the sting was part of the city's continuing effort to fight prostitution.
"We are adamant about discouraging prostitution in West Valley City," he said.
