(KSL News) The 30th annual home remodeling and decorating show is taking place this weekend.
Homeowners packed the South Town Expo Center today to look at the latest in home technology, including a smart house that controls light switches, the thermostat and fireplace.
Popular accessories for the new year included home theatres and spas.
Interior designers and Trading Spaces carpenter Carter Oosterhouse offered ideas to stumped homeowners.
Carter Oosterhouse/ TV Carpenter: "You should ask yourself as many questions before you take on the project. That will help you alleviate a lot of the steps throughout the project."
The expo closes tomorrow night at six. Tickets are $6.25 for adults, seniors are $4 and children under 12 are free.
