(KSL News) -- A judge has allowed a former BYU football player to withdraw his guilty plea.
Karland Bennett accepted a plea deal last year, while two of his teammates went on trial for the rape of a minor. They were acquitted.
Because Bennett was allowed to set aside the plea, he now faces the original charges of aggravated sexual assault and dealing harmful material to a minor, among other charges.
Now the Utah County Attorney's Office will decide whether to drop charges or prosecute Bennett.
