(KSL News) -- Drivers of diesel cars and trucks in Utah County will no longer have to pass two tests to register their vehicles.
On January 1st a provision requiring a separate test for diesel emissions will be repealed. The test was put in place in an attempt to reduce pollution in the county. However, a report from the Environmental Protection Agency later stated such tests did little to cut pollution.
Diesel drivers will still have to pass regular emission tests.
