(KSL News) Santa came a little early today for one family that's had a difficult holiday season.
The Vanlandingham family was driving from Seattle to Salt Lake when they got in an accident outside of Elko, Nevada. Mrs. Vanlandingham lost her husband and brother-in-law in the accident, and she was taken by Airmed to University Hospital.
The family also lost their possessions in the RV that was destroyed.
The Airmed Crew who helped save her have spent the last few days collecting donations from the community, and today they delivered a check for more than a thousand dollars, clothing and a guitar for Vanlandingham's son.
Mrs. Vanlandingham/ Accident Victim: "You don't know what it means to me to know that my son can have his Christmas this year."
Mrs. Vanlandingham is expected to undergo several surgeries, though her injuries are not life threatening.
