Roy Teen Killed in Car Accident in Ogden Over the Weekend

Greg Neft, KSL Newsradio A deadly crash in Ogden took the life of a Roy teen over the weekend.

Lt. Scott Sangberg says 17-year-old John Edwards and three of his friends were stopped at a traffic light off Hinckley Drive, when a pickup truck came by. "And without even stopping, plowed into the rear end of them," Sangberg says.

Edwards died at the scene the pickup driver Danny Rodriguez fled. He was later arrested and may have been intoxicated. He's out on bail, which Sangberg says is normal. "He's got connections with the community and employment in the community, then making that bail is something that he's allowed to do."

Three others were injured in the accident.
