(KSL News) A court decision has been made in the battle between burger giant In-N-Out and American Fork's Chadder's Restaurant. In-N-Out Burgers accused Chadder's of copying its menu and restaurant style.
Today, a federal judge decided In-N-Out is right about the food part of the suit and issued a temporary restraining order. Chadder's can stay open, but must not advertise sell, or make an order using the terms "Animal", "Protein", "3 x 3", "4 x 4," and "Double Double." When a customer asks for any of these items, Chadder's employees must say the restaurant does not offer them.
As for the overall look of the American Fork restaurant, the judge says In-N-Out did not prove its case.
