(KSL News) -- Residents in the small Utah town of Covered Bridge, just up Spanish Fork Canyon, made a surprising discovery today -- a bear in their backyard!
Bruce Taylor, the homeowner, told KSL, "He stood up and his face was just right at the glass, just right next to ours. I don't konw if they can't see very well, but he didn't seem to be spooked by us, but we were being quiet, and his claws were on the window. It was pretty impressive."
Wildlife specialists laid traps around the property so they can relocate the curious cub.
This time of year, they say more bears come out, looking for food. So don't leave food out, and clean your grill after using it.
