(KSL News) New government data shows Utah is one of America's most "starving" states.

The United States Department of Agriculture says Utah ranks fifth in the nation for "food insecurity." That means almost 15 percent of Utah's families have trouble finding money to feed themselves. Five percent of those qualify as hungry, which means they have no money for food.

The Department says winter heating bills could make these numbers even worse.
