(KSL News) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced as many as 80 billion family records will eventually be available online.
The Deseret Morning News reports the Church is partnering with various archives and other records depositories to become the world's clearinghouse for family history.
Records will be digitized so users can pull up images of the actual record. As many as 80 billion unique names could eventually be found online, compared to about 5 billion names online today.
