(KSL News) -- A 13-year old girl and a 12-year old boy have been convicted of sexually abusing each other.

The two minors had a sexual relationship resulting in a baby. Due to their ages at the time of the relationship, both were charged with felony child sex abuse.

If both had been 14 the charge would have only been a misdemeanor.

Lawyers for the girl have appealed the case.
