SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- An agent for Gary Coleman says the late actor's family is planning a funeral this weekend.

Shielia Erickson says the family hopes to hold a memorial service Friday, Saturday or Sunday in Salt Lake City. Erickson says it has not been decided whether the service will be private or open to the public for fans of the former child TV star.

Coleman died Friday of a brain hemorrhage after being taken off life support at a Provo hospital. He was 42.

He was hospitalized May 26, then slipped into unconsciousness the next day.

Santaquin Police Chief Dennis Howard says authorities initially responded to Coleman's home Wednesday on a medical call and that there is nothing suspicious in Coleman's death. He says Coleman had a dialysis treatment earlier that day.

Coleman starred in the sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" as pint-sized character Arnold Jackson in the late 1970s and 1980s.
