SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Utah woman has been elected as the nation's largest women's political organizations upcoming president.
Beverly Davis of Eden was nominated during the 33rd biennial convention of the National Federation of Republican Women in Nashville on September eleventh.
The organization recruits and elects Republican candidates, advocates the party's philosophy and initiatives and seeks to empower women in the political process.
Davis currently serves as vice president of the organization and will assume the presidency in January of 2006 and last one year.
Davis say she's looking forward to the challenges ahead, particularly the 2006 elections.
