(KSL News) -- A 14-year-old boy hit by a car is in stable condition this afternoon.
The teen was taking down flags for his Scout troop early this morning.
When he tried to cross 40th West near 4200 South, a driver apparently didn't see him and hit him.
He was flown to the hospital in critical condition with head injuries.
Officers are still trying to figure exactly how it happened.
