SALT LAKE COUNTY -- The Jordan School District is seeking a protective order against the mother of three elementary school students.

The Deseret News reports the school district wants to prevent the woman, Heather Vunipola, from entering Columbia Elementary School, 3505 W. 7800 South, unless she has written permission or is attending a school program or parent-teacher conference.

The district alleges the woman yelled and swore at administrators and other parents, and threw a banana in the lunchroom when asked to pay for it.

The woman tells the Deseret News she's not rude -- she just tells people how she feels.

She says the banana was from her daughter's lunch tray and she didn't throw it.

The district says the request for a protective order shows it is serious about keeping students safe.

The woman has three children who attend the school. The problems started after accusations arose that her son was a bully.
