SALT LAKE CITY -- Accused murderer Curtis Allgier has canceled his wedding planned for Tuesday.
Allgier was granted permission to have a small marriage ceremony at the Salt Lake County Jail, but at the last minute he and his fiancée backed out.
There are no plans to reschedule the nuptials.
Allgier faces a capital murder charge for the shooting death of corrections officer Stephen Anderson during an escape attempt in 2007.
A preliminary hearing for Allgier wrapped up April 1. He entered a not guilty plea and is expected to return to court May 7.
