DAVIS COUNTY -- A South Davis Metro Fire Agency captain pleaded guilty to reduced charges in connection with child pornography allegations.

Ryan Frandsen, 33, was initially charged with nine felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor following his May arrest last year. Investigators say they found several downloaded videos involving children on his computer.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, a deal with prosecutors allowed Frandsen to plead guilty to just five misdemeanor counts of lewdness involving a child.

He could face up to a year in jail when he is sentenced April 26.

Frandsen has been placed on unpaid administrative leave since last April.
