Michigan ex-player convicted of disorderly conduct in Ohio

SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — Former Michigan defensive end Frank Clark has been convicted of a disorderly conduct charge after pleading no contest in an agreement with prosecutors in northwest Ohio.

The 21-year-old Ypsilanti, Michigan-area resident had pleaded not guilty in Sandusky Municipal Court to misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and assault. Authorities say he was arrested Nov. 15 for allegedly beating up a woman in suburban Sandusky.

A court official says the domestic violence count was downgraded to disorderly conduct. Clark was sentenced Friday to three days of jail time already served. He also paid $250 plus $100 court costs. The assault charge was dismissed.

Defense attorney Ken Bailey says counseling Clark completed helped lead to the plea agreement.

Michigan's now ex-coach Brady Hoke dismissed Clark from the football team after his arrest.
