CHICAGO (AP) — Jimmy Butler set a playoff career-high for the second straight game with 31 points, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Milwaukee Bucks 91-82 to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series. Chicago's Derrick Rose scored all of his 15 points in the second half after dominating in the series opener.
PITTSBURGH (AP)— The New York Rangers regained home-ice advantage in their playoff series against Pittsburgh with a 2-1 victory over the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Henrik Lundqvist made 23 saves between the pipes for the Rangers, who lead the series 2-1 heading to Game 4 in Pittsburgh Wednesday night.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Devan Dubnyk (deh-VAHN' DOOB'-nihk) made 17 saves and Jason Pominville (PAHM'-in-vihl) and Zach Parise (puh-REE'-see) scored second-period goals and the Minnesota Wild earned a 3-0 victory over the St. Louis Blues in Game 3 of their Western Conference series. That gives the Wild a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 Wednesday in St. Paul.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — After seven years of great regular-season success and playoff disappointments, coach Todd McLellan and the San Jose Sharks have parted ways. McLellan was the winningest coach in Sharks franchise history but the team missed the playoffs this year for the first time since 2003.
BOSTON (AP) — Ethiopia's Lelisa Desisa (leh-LEE'-sah deh-SEE'-sah) and Kenya's Caroline Rotich (ROH'-tish) won the men's and women's divisions of the Boston Marathon. Desisa won the 119th version of the annual race in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, 17 seconds for his second victory in the race. He also won in 2013, the year of the Boston Marathon bombing.
