Jazz VP Kevin O'Connor reportedly acknowledges having preliminary contract extension talks with key Jazzmen Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur.

Those two along with sharpshooter Kyle Korver are the three Jazz players who are in position to "opt-out" of the last year of their contracts after this season.

The term merely means they forfeit the final year of their Jazz contract to see what deal they can get on the open free agent market with the Jazz always in position to match the contract or offer more.

If the player "opts-out" he is free to leave for another offer if he so chooses.
