SALT LAKE CITY - The time and television for Utah's season-opening football game against Michigan have been finalized, meaning game times for Utah's entire 2008 schedule are now available.
The Utes will meet the Wolverines in the Big House on August 30 starting at 3:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. MT) in the Big House. ABC will televise the game. The two teams have met once previously - also in Ann Arbor - with Michigan winning 10-7 in 2002.
Utah's home schedule kicks off on Sept. 6 against UNLV. Other home games include Weber State (Sept. 27), Oregon State (Thu., Oct. 2), Colorado State (Oct. 18), TCU (Thu., Nov. 6) and Brigham Young (Nov. 22). Season tickets are on sale now at UtahUtes.com.
At least 10 of Utah's 12 games will be televised, including all eight Mountain West Conference contests. Utah's home game with Weber State on Sept. 27 will not be televised and TV plans for the Utah-Utah State game in Logan on Sept. 13 have not been determined.
With the addition of The Mtn. to the DirecTV lineup this fall, most of Utah's games will be available to a national television audience. In addition, the Utes are guaranteed at least three games on national network television - the Air Force and Oregon State games on VERSUS and TCU on CBS College Sports Network (CBS C). A determination will be made at a later date on whether the Utah-Michigan game on ABC will be televised regionally or nationally.
