PRICE — A Spanish Fork man was killed Wednesday while trying to fix his truck when the vehicle rolled off a ramp and fell on top of him, according to police.
On Wednesday, about 2:40 p.m., Michael Woolsey, 52, was driving a Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup truck that was also pulling a large flatbed trailer. Woolsey pulled into the parking lot at Sutherlands, 406 S. Main Street, in Price, to perform some repair work on his vehicle, according to a prepared statement from Price police.
Woolsey pulled his truck onto a ramp to give him room to work underneath.
"While Mr. Woolsey was underneath the vehicle, the truck rolled backward off the ramp, landing on top of him and trapping Mr. Woolsey under the vehicle. It was reported that Mr. Woolsey was not moving," according to police.
Emergency crews arrived on scene in minutes, but determined Woolsey was already deceased, police stated.
While the incident remained under investigation Thursday, police said it appeared to be nothing more than an "unfortunate accident."
Price police expressed their condolences to friends and family of Woolsey.
