(KSL News) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that a substance found in a Las Vegas hotel room is the deadly poison ricin.
Former Utah resident Roger Von Bergendorff was staying in that room and is believed to have been sickened by the ricin. He has been in the hospital unconscious since the middle of last month. However, his illness has not yet been linked to the poison.
A home where Von Bergendorff used to reside in Riverton was searched this weekend. FBI and police officials would not comment on what was found.
