LINDON — A semi traveling northbound on I-15 left the road Sunday morning and crashed, causing minor damage to a Lindon home, Utah Highway Patrol says.

Police responded to a call at 3:59 a.m. about the crash at 209 N. Westridge Lane in Lindon.

The semi had left the road, continuing until it reached the porch of the home, UHP said. The columns on the porch were damaged and the awning came off. The structure of the home was not damaged.

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, UHP said. People were in the home at the time of the crash, but no one in the home was injured.

Utah Highway Patrol is investigating what caused the semi to leave the road.

The accident is not affecting traffic in the area.
