LINDON, Utah (AP) -- The SCO Group Inc. says investors will put up $100 million and take the company private after it emerges from bankruptcy.
SCO, a licenser of the Unix operating system, said the money will come from Washington, D.C.-based Stephen Norris Capital Partners and partners in the Middle East.
SCO President and CEO Jeff Hunsaker says the financial backing will secure the company's future.
SCO filed for bankruptcy protection in September, drained by unsuccessful lawsuits claiming its software code has been misappropriated by developers of the open-source Linux operating system.
