SALT LAKE COUNTY — A fire burned about 20 acres near I-80, just west of the 5600 West exit in Salt Lake County, Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The flames affected eastbound I-80 traffic about 4 p.m., and traffic cameras went down in the area, the Utah Department of Transportation confirmed via Twitter.
The Great Basin Coordination Center confirmed that the Salt Lake Fire Department had arrived on scene.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department said the grass fire's size was 20 acres.
The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known.
