Relatives of soldier say his passing should bring hope

(KSL News) The family of Army Private Jordan Thibeault says their son should be heralded by everyone.

Thibeault died in Iraq from a noncombat incident that is still under investigation. He had served four years of duty and re-enlisted for another six. He was on his second tour of duty in Iraq when he died.

His family said, "His passing should give hope to all that there are still those among us who are willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to keep mankind safe and free."

Funeral services are next Monday in South Jordan.
