PROVO — Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 10-year-old girl who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

Iliana Stout has been missing since she left Lakeview Elementary School around 3 p.m., according to police. She left the school, 2899 W. 1390 North, on foot.

Iliana was wearing a pink or brown hoodie, a light red or pink shirt with black hearts on it, and blue jeans. She is Hispanic, has dark shoulder-length hair, brown eyes, weighs roughly 100 pounds and is about 4 feet 9 inches tall, according to her aunt, Keri Stout.

Iliana told a friend Wednesday she was thinking about running away, possibly to New Mexico, where her family has ties, according to her aunt. She was unhappy with how she was being treated at school and was overheard Wednesday crying in a school bathroom, Keri Stout said.

Iliana is believed to be without a cellphone or a winter coat. Her parents went door to door Wednesday evening and posted to social media to inform others of her disappearance, Keri Stout said.

Provo police issued a reverse 911 call to homes within 2 miles of Lakeview Elementary. The agency also planned to contact all parents of students at the school.

Anyone with information about Iliana's whereabouts is asked to call the Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
