OGDEN — Police are investigating the shooting death of a woman who was found lying in the roadway Wednesday night.
Officers discovered a 40-year-old female with a single gunshot wound to her upper left chest on the 400 block 800 North in Ogden. The woman was taken to a hospital but eventually died, according to a statement from the Ogden Police Department.
No information about the victim was immediately available and police say there "does not appear" to be any danger to the public.
