KEARNS — One person is in critical condition after being shot in Kearns Saturday night, police say.
Police received a call at 7:55 p.m. that someone had been shot and was under a vehicle in the area of 6000 S. Cougar Lane, Unified Police Sgt. Aymee Race said.
Aid was rendered on scene, and the person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Race said.
Police say there was a large gathering in the area, and they are currently interviewing those in the party.
The public was asked to avoid the area late Saturday while police investigated.
