(KSL News) A Utah legislative leader is hinting that a plan to move the Utah State Prison is far from dead.

The Deseret News reports that state Senate President John Valentine told a gathering of Kiwanis Club members the move is still a possibility and that he has a "number of tricks" up his sleeve.

Gov. Jon Huntsman and other state leaders have previously dismissed the plan, saying it would not be cost-effective to move the facility.

A feasibility study found selling the land the prison currently sits on in Draper would only recoup $51 million of the $93 million necessary for the move.
