North Ogden building $500,000 more than planned

NORTH OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- The price tag on North Ogden's new community services building will cost $500,000 more than city officials expected.

The building will house the public works and parks and recreation departments when it's finished. It was estimated to cost $350,000 when the city council approved the project.

But an upgraded plan calls for a larger building with more storage space at an estimated final cost of $850,000.

City officials plan now to break ground on the project in March and hope to be moved in by Aug. 1.
