PLEASANT GROVE — A motorcyclist was killed late Monday in a crash on I-15 in Pleasant Grove, troopers said.
About 10:49 p.m., the motorcyclist was driving north on I-15 approaching a construction zone, where traffic had been reduced to three lanes, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Multiple vehicles were stopped when the motorcycle clipped the right back corner of a pickup truck. The motorcycle continued north, striking an SUV and then crashing into the back tires of a semitruck under the trailer, troopers said.
Bystanders pulled the man out and began CPR. First responders also attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
Traffic was diverted through Pleasant Grove and American Fork while troopers investigated the crash.
