Man stabbed following argument

(KSL News) An overnight argument leads to a stabbing in South Salt Lake.

Police say the suspect and the victim were acquaintances. They were leaving a car inspection station on State Street and about 3000 South when they started arguing. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in each arm. He then stole the victim's car and took off.

That car is a dark green 1999 Toyota with no license plate and the model year written on the windshield. South Salt Lake Police Lt. Greg Carlson says even though the two men were acquainted, the victim doesn't know much about his attacker and can only identify him by his street name.

The victim was taken to the hospital but is in fair condition.
