DUCHESNE — A man from Colorado died early Wednesday after being hit by a semitrailer on state Route 87, troopers said.
About 3:05 a.m., the 59-year-old man was helping a co-worker back a semitrailer at the 6000 South intersection near Duchesne when a northbound semitrailer driver did not see him and hit him, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
The man died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
Troopers say the man was not wearing reflective clothing at the time of the crash.
Lanes were closed at the intersection for about two hours during the investigation.
