Lehi prepares for possible spring flooding

Andrew Adams reportingIn Lehi, city leaders are trying to get ahead of possible spring flooding.

Sandbags are on standby, and the city has already established three sandbag pick-up locations.

Beyond that, the emergency preparedness director has sent a letter to stake leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, prompting them to put together committees to address imminent flooding emergencies.

Right now, the city says if the snow pack doesn't melt gradually, big problems are ahead in May. There's also concern about ground slipping from the foothills and bench in North Lehi, if heavy rains come.
