Funds donated to help families of crash victims

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Money is being raised to help the families of the 10 victims of a plane crash in southwestern Utah last Friday.

There have already been several fundraisers and events, and a memorial walk is scheduled for Sept. 5.

Donations will be taken at the event, and an anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $5,000 raised. The walk will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Canyon Trail next to the Little League ballpark.

Another fundraiser has been scheduled to help the widow of Dallin Ellsworth, one of the victims. The owners of two carwashes in Cedar City plan to donate all proceeds on Sept. 3 to Kamber Ellsworth and her son, who hasn't been born yet.

Canyon View Middle School is sponsoring a fundraiser for Andrea White, a teacher at the school, and her two sons. White's husband was flying the plane when it crashed shortly after takeoff.
