ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Dixie State College has a new interim president.
Stephen D. Nadauld formerly served as the president of Weber State College and a professor at Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
One issue he will immediately look at is a proposed affiliation with the University of Utah, which the state Board of Regents has been exploring.
Nadauld says an affiliation could do wonderful things for the school. He guided Weber State's transition from a college to a university in the 1980s.
The regents hired Nadauld for a year in case the position is eliminated in the affiliation.
