(KSL News) The number of fatal shootings involving Utah law enforcement officers more than doubled last year.
According to a report from the Salt Lake Tribune, 13 suspects were killed by law enforcement in 2007. That is up significantly from the four killed the year before. In addition, four suspects were wounded.
All but one of the shootings was found to be justified, which means officers acted within the law and had reason to believe their lives were in danger.
